Hypermobility

Untreated hyper-mobility can lead to early arthritis and joint pain.

Being hyper-mobile means you have joints with a ligament structure that allows greater-than-normal flexibility. You will see this if you can bend your thumb all the way to your wrist, if your elbow or knee goes past the straight position. You may also find that you have a history of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). And while you may shine in a yoga class, your hypermobility can lead to early arthritis and other joint pain conditions.
